Fullview makes it all better :3
I tend to fashion weird materials into weird things. My mom made me go to a Mexican grocery store with a lot of twist ties. They're these thin, bendable metal wires covered by a strip of paper used in grocery stores for twisting around plastic bags to close them. I think I made my first twist tie dragon (the one shown in photos 7 and 8) around the same time I made Juanito, my yarn dragon.
I finished my second one a few days ago, which I now make you look at. He doesn't have a name yet, although I was thinking of Avarice; or jealousy (green with envy, lol -shotshotshot-) Onto the photos themselves, which were taken with my trusty razor camera phone.
1 - Poor dragon, forced into this skewed pose. to show his profile. Two curved horns, a workable jaw, flimsy ears, four wings (two front and two on the butt), puny hind legs, a long tail, and spikes: 3 on the neck, 3 on the butt between hind wings, and 5 on the tail.
2 - Worm's eye view to show the wings and full body better, though hind legs are hard to see. Also including my hand for size comparison.
3 - More detail on the right fore wing. The end of the twist tie sticking out at the junction between limb and the fingers of the wing is his thumb.
4 - 1/4 worm eye's view to show him taking off. This one looks pretty good, especially with the pose.
5 - Close-up to show more detail on the twist ties. The background looks glowy and almost intentional.
6 - An even closer up, slightly blurry picture of his head that doesn't help at all.
7 - The new dragon challenging the old twist tie dragon I made in 4th grade. The old one's once green twist ties are turning white with age (since twist ties are just wire covered with paper) and his name's Risimor.
8 - Risimor in more detail to compare his wings and the new unnamed dragon's wings. He looks like he's grinning.
